Surprise! An Election without a Hitch, Not even long Lines!

I was really looking forward to this elections. Excited but still a bit worried.

What if the PCOS Machine reject My Ballot?! What if My Ballot is rejected completely and I miss my chance to Vote?! These are just of the few questions that was running through my mind prior to this day.

But all of those questions were behind me now.

Contrary to the news reports everywhere, I was able to Vote without a Hitch! I mean really, not even Long Lines!

How?! Around 12NN I went to My precinct. There they were giving out numbers for voters, if your number is called out, you can now enter the classroom and cast your vote. No-Number No-Vote! Kudos to the Organizers here in our Village! Simple Yet effective measure in minimizing if not totally eradicating the need to line up for hours. Once you got your number, you can just go back after a few hours to cast your vote. If your number was called and you were not there, they will still allow you to vote! How Cool was that! :)

So I got number 465, the poll watchers said that the last number called was around 200 and my number will be called at around 3PM… I have 3 hours to spare! I went to the mall, paid bills, ate, shop.. It was around 2PM when I left the Mall, I arrived at the precinct at around 2:45 and what a perfect combination of luck and coincidence, they were calling our number 461!! OMG! It was my turn! :)

I am voter number 11 at Precinct 135S!

And then there was the voting… A relatively Small Armchair for a Huge Ballot! Anyway, After casting my votes, feeding my ballot to the PCOS machine, there was a moment of silence deep inside when the PCOS displayed “Validating Your Ballot” and after a few moments which seemed to be forever, the PCOS displayed “Congratulations, Your vote has been Cast” or something like that… Whew! What a relief. Indelible Ink Time… Which I can actually remove using the sweat on my forehead!

Of course it does not end there! We must watch the counting or consolidation of Votes!

I have done my part! Have you?! Be at your Polling Centers before 7PM!

BTW: Magkano nga ulit yung  Ballot Secrecy Folder?! 100 pesos?! E yun lang yung Long folder sa National Bookstore na Worth 5Pesos Eh! :p Tsk.. Tsk..

Iron Man 2 @ Rockwell

Oracle’s Movie Night 2010. Iron Man 2!

Gumagalaw Sya… Di siya istatyu! Pero may ilaw sya sa Kamay at Chest.

While watching the Movie, I realized why they chose this movie for our movie night. Our company was a sponsor (i think) in the movie. Our CEO was actually in the movie as cameo role if you can say that. Our Logo was everywhere and the system used by tony stark was allegedly our system… Hahaha! :p

Anyway, It was a good movie but the fight scenes were a bit lame. They focused more on the story telling rather than the action. Still good, but the best part was the last scene, shown after the credits. I initially thought that there will be Iron Man 3. but Apparently I may be wrong.

SPOILER ALERT:

They flashed Thor’s Hammer! WHOA!

This may be true! Thor Movie will be Marvel’s next super hero movie offering in May 2011. There has been a leaked photo circulating around the net of the Actor (in costume) who will portray Thor – Chris Hemsworth. IMDB.com also has the Movie in their Database Already. Check it out HERE.

Like Tony Stark Said to Nick Fury – You Cannot Afford Me! But I can be a consultant. That means it is unlikely that Iron Man will be in Action in the Next Movie!

Can’t wait for this one!

By the way, THOR is Different From MIGHTOR! Hahaha! yung Caveman na nagiging super hero! Yung 5 lang naman silang tao sa Village tapos di nila makilala na sya si Mightor!

Philippine Airlines (PAL) Flight PR 849 Hassle!

We Landed at Mactan International Airport at Around 4:30PM, 15 Minutes late than the scheduled time. Fairly acceptable, until it was time to get our bags on the arrival area…

This process normally would only take a few minutes, but this time it took much longer than the usual. Why? Because apparently, the conveyor belt from the plane to the ground was broken, Only one batch of bags were unloaded and the rest were still stucked inside the plane – Including Ours…

Minutes passed by and still there was no sign of our bags.

Anjan Na yung Sundu Namin from the Hotel, and still no signs of the bags…

People are piling up and getting anxious and impatient by the minute…

Some people were literally arguing with the attendants on the other side of the conveyor belt…

The Pacific Flight who arrived few minutes after we landed were done with their baggage, and we are still waiting.

This Black Luggage has been moving around the conveyor for quite some time…

People are taking turns talking to the people behind this rubber curtain..

 

After a while, one by one, the baggage came out.. FINALLY! Anong Petsa Na! Kung sa Bantayan Island pa ako Pupunta Uumagahin na ako pag punta dun!

It was such a Hassle, we were scheduled for the Edge Coaster that Time! We Lost More than 1 Hour Vacation Time There! The worst part, there was no official announcement from PAL on what time the bags will be unloaded or the conveyor to be fixed!!! Talk about Customer Service!

But Hey! It is my Vacation! Happy Thoughts! Happy Thoughts!… Anyway, we know that the next rides will be a Blast! :p

My First Time Riding a Boeing 747 Plane!

I did not know that the Plane for our flight to Cebu this afternoon was a Boeing 747. When we boarded, I noticed that the seat arrangement was different from the Usual arrangement I know (Airbus A320). Immediately, I asked one of the attendant what plane model I am in.. and she said Boeing 747.. Call Me Jologs but I got very Excited! It was my first time riding a plane other than the Airbus A320…

The A320 was a basic plane.. seats more or less a hundred passengers. This one has 2 levels, level 2 was for the First and Business Class and the lover level was for the economy class…

There is a Touch Screen LCD on every seat!

Confirmed… Boeing 747 Nga! :p

Para saan naman to? Hehehe! :p

Top Compartment…

Center Seats… 10 seats per row, with 95 rows for economy alone!

Ang Layo ng Door!

Reading the safety manual…

Ayan… Left Sidewalk…

Notifications… Will tell you if the lavatory is empty or occupied..

Eto naman pala.. may manual yung remote!

May Games Pa… Bookworm! Exciting!

Touch Screen Yan! Medyo Hassle!

Chess Pa… Meron din Movies, TV Shows, Radio, atbp… kaso kelangan mo may dala ka headset… walang provided eh.. sa business class lang may free na headset :p

Ayan, then may free food! Voice Combo Sandwich, Coffee, and Happy Peanuts na nakabalot sa Fancy PAL plastic pack! :p

Around 15 Minutes after mag distribute ng food, it was time to land…

The Travel was fairly comfortable… until we landed and it’s time to get our Bags at the conveyor belt…
